Raman is an experienced UK qualified international financial services lawyer, having advised for over 20 years on cross-border capital markets, corporate finance, lending and asset management at leading global banks, including Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo and Dresdner Kleinwort, and at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
He has focused on establishing corporate, securities, funds and lending businesses in the EMEA, Asia-Pacific, North America, Latin America and Caribbean regions and on structuring transactions and investments within those regions, particularly in varied asset classes in capital markets, structured finance, leveraged finance, private equity acquisitions, prime brokerage and private equity opportunities.
Prior to joining EH Global Capital as General Counsel, Raman served as Chief International Counsel for Wells Fargo, advising the bank’s senior executives on investments, transactions, corporate governance, policy and regulatory matters for all the bank’s non-US businesses in Canada and the EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean regions. He performed this role initially in London, then from the bank’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco for several years.
Raman has served as director and company secretary of several financial services companies in the UK and Europe and has deep experience in advising on financial regulation and companies’ corporate law obligations.
